Meet Our Patient Ambassadors

Ambassadors Group ShotOur Patient Ambassador program gives patients and their families a public way to champion N.C. Children's Hospital. Ambassadors are chosen from a pool of patients nominted by faculty and staff for exemplifying the courage and determination of the thousands of sick and injured children treated at the Children's Hospital each year.

Our patient ambassadors make their ambassadorial debuts each spring at our annual Run for the Promise Gala. This year, N.C. Children's Hospital has five ambassadors from across the state, each with distinct health challenges but all with the common experience of being treated at N.C. Children's Hospital. They, along with their families, will represent the Children's Hospital at events throughout the year, sharing their stories of hope and promise while creating awareness for the state's children hospital.

The 2013-2014 N.C. Children's Hospital Patient Ambassadors are:

  • Wallace, age 16, of Pinehurst, NC
  • David, age 6, of Raleigh, NC
  • Nathan, age 10, of Oxford, NC
  • Alicia, age 9, of Sanford, NC
  • Reign, age 2, of Greensboro, NC
