Our Services
As a major referral center for children with complex medical and surgical conditions, North Carolina Children's Hospital is a comprehensive care center for the state's most critically ill and injured children. Our clinicians work hand-in-hand with community hospitals, pediatricians, and specialists all across the state, annually providing subspecialty care to more than 70,000 children from every corner of the state. In fact, we see children from all 100 counties throughout North Carolina each year, caring for kids from mountains to coast, and even many from out of state.
N.C. Children's Hospital has specialty-trained physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in nearly every pediatric subspecialty imaginable, and even some that don't readily come to mind. Our multidisciplinary care teams have the expertise to treat virtually any disease or disorder, ensuring your child will always have access to leading edge care without having to leave the state. We are recognized as a national leader treating children with cystic fibrosis and other respiratory disorders, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, cancer, heart disease, and trauma, including severe burns. We also specialize in treating children with gastrointestinal disorders, infectious diseases, birth defects, and problems of growth and development.
