Pulmonary Function Testing Lab

The N.C. Children’s Specialty Clinic in Raleigh has Wake County’s only full service pediatric pulmonary function testing lab. Regular pulmonary function testing (PFT) is an essential part of health maintenance for children with asthma and other pulmonary conditions. PFT Lab

Pulmonary function testing can be performed as part of the pulmonology or allergy appointment if deemed necessary by the physician. In addition, children requiring more frequent PFTs can schedule individual appointments with the respiratory therapist. The respiratory therapist can also provide in depth asthma education, review the asthma action plan and demonstrate the appropriate use of asthma medications.
