Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill

The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill seeks to provide families and patients of N.C. Children’s Hospital with a home away from home. The House concentrates on the well-being of the entire family, through physical and emotional comfort.

The House has 29 hotel-style guest rooms available for families of children receiving treatment at area hospitals. Approximately 99% of families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill have a child receiving treatment at N.C. Children’s Hospital.

Like the Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House serves families from all 100 North Carolina counties and beyond, regardless of their ability to contribute. There is no cost associated with staying at the Ronald McDonald House, although the House suggests a donation of $10 for familes who are able.

The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill is located about one mile south of N.C. Children’s Hospital. Free transportation to and from N.C. Children’s is available Monday-Friday through a hospital shuttle and through the Chapel Hill transit system.

The Ronald McDonald House is located at:
101 Old Mason Farm Road
Chapel Hill, NC 27514

You can request a room at the Ronald McDonald House as you prepare for your family’s visit to N.C. Children’s Hospital.
